Senior Teen Joy is New York State’s first Jewish intergenerational program created and led entirely by teens. Founded by Zach, Benji, and Brianna, the initiative was born out of a desire to support vulnerable seniors who may not have family nearby. Through dynamic events such as bake-offs, bingo, game nights, and cultural celebrations, Senior Teen Joy connects middle and high school students with older adults in a joyful, welcoming space. Rooted in the Jewish value of L’dor v’Dor from generation to generation the program fosters friendships, reduces isolation, and builds a stronger, more connected community across ages.
