Sponsored by Chicago Methodist Senior Services (CMSS), Senior Connections (SC) is a relationship-building program that matches volunteers with older adults to create mutually beneficial friendships that reduce loneliness and social isolation. Older adults are matched with volunteers, most of whom are young adults, for a weekly in-person visit during which they converse, engage in an activity, or go out into the community. The program has been in existence for over 30 years.
