The unique ONEgeneration Intergenerational Program provides for daily opportunities for the children in our Child Care Center to interact with their “neighbors”, the seniors at the shared site Adult Day Care Center. Through exciting activities such as creative art, cooking, movement, gardening and games, the program establishes caring connections between children and seniors. These interactions help children acquire new interests, skills and learn the meaning of acceptance, cooperation, empathy and compassion. ONEgeneration recognizes the value of these connections and provide positive and developmentally appropriate interactions for older and younger participants.
