New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra (NJIO) is opening the world of classical music to people of all ages. Their mission is to make participation in classical music—whether as a musician or a listener—more joyful, accessible, and fulfilling. NJIO welcomes musicians of all ages and skill levels into a nurturing artistic environment. Members grow musically and socially with instruction from music professionals and by working with each other across the generations. NJIO believes that music performances are beneficial to everyone, and serves the community by presenting 15+ free all-ages orchestral concerts, outreach performances, and special events throughout New Jersey.
