L.A. Works creates and leads programming to address critical issues and needs in Los Angeles by mobilizing targeted volunteer communities – intergenerational community volunteers, corporate volunteers, family volunteers, and, of course, our active membership of more than 800 volunteers who are age 55 or older. These experiences improve the individual health and well-being of the volunteers by decreasing their isolation while also building the capacity of nonprofits to meet their missions. We strive to create impactful experiences intentionally to have volunteers of different generations and backgrounds working side by side for a common good.
