GlamourGals is a non-profit that fosters intergenerational connections through beauty makeovers. Teen volunteers visit senior care facilities to provide complimentary manicures and makeovers to elderly residents, boosting their self-esteem while building teens’ leadership skills. Since 2000, GlamourGals has created meaningful connections between teens and seniors through conversation and its signature beauty makeover program. In addition to this, the My Dear Friend card campaign invites people of all ages across the country to make a difference by writing and mailing heartfelt cards to partnering senior homes during the holiday season, spreading joy to isolated older adults nationwide.
