Conversations to Remember

The mission of Conversations to Remember is to connect older adults, including those living with cognitive decline, with young adult college students to combat the epidemic of social isolation and loneliness. Putting a smile on the faces of older adults, creating a bridge between them and youth.

Conversations to Remember supports the mental well-being of older adults by reducing their feelings of loneliness and isolation through free curated weekly video visits with college-aged students. Each week, small groups of 2-3 specially trained students meet with individual older adults, sharing their thoughts and stories, building intergenerational relationships. The same students return each week, showing the older adult just how important they are to them. These intergenerational connections foster compassion, engagement, and a sense of community, helping older adults feel valued and supported, and teaching young adults empathy and communication skills.
