The AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program offers Americans, 55 and older opportunities to serve as mentors, tutors and care givers for children with exceptional needs. Grandparent volunteers offer emotional support to children who have been abused, neglected, mentor troubled teenagers and tutor at risk children. They serve at local daycares, preschools and schools in Cerro Gordo, Chickasaw, Floyd and Mitchell counties in Iowa.
