As Director, Strategic Initiatives & Communications, Sheri leads Generations United’s strategic initiatives and organizational communications to advance high-quality intergenerational programs and practices. She oversees the development of resources, partnerships, training, and technical assistance that strengthen organizations and expand the impact of intergenerational work nationwide.
Sheri has nearly 30 years of experience in the intergenerational field. Inspired by close relationships with her grandparents and great-grandparents, she discovered her passion for intergenerational practice during a graduate field placement in affordable senior housing. After beginning her career with Generations United, she expanded her experience at Intergenerational Innovations in Seattle, where she managed, developed, implemented, and evaluated school- and community-based intergenerational programs before returning to Generations United. Sheri received her Master of Social Work from Boston College with concentrations in Community Organization, Policy, Planning and Administration and Gerontology.
