As Operations Coordinator for Generations United (GU), Rachel provides administrative and logistical support to the Finance and Operations Director to facilitate smooth operations and strengthen the organization’s functioning. Rachel focuses on building out operational processes and systems to support GU’s ongoing success and enable scalable growth. Prior to joining GU, Rachel dedicated over 15 years to developing and implementing community-based programs and wellness initiatives for diverse youth populations in the City of Gaithersburg. During her tenure in Gaithersburg, Rachel had the opportunity to serve many young participants living in multi-generational family households and participate in intergenerational programs with well-known partners like the JCA Heyman Interages Center. Rachel received her BS in Exercise Science, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington. Rachel is currently taking courses in speech pathology at the University of Maryland, College Park.
