Niadu O. Allen is a kinship caregiver, health care management leader, and founder of Angels National Kinship, Inc., an organization created alongside other kinship caregivers to advocate for families. She also serves as a GRAND Voice with Generations United and is active in advocacy efforts in her community.
Niadu is raising her grandchildren and brings both personal and generational experience with kinship care to her leadership. Her caregiving journey has strengthened her commitment to ensuring children have opportunities to thrive and has shown her the power caregivers can have when they raise their voices together. She is especially proud of helping create Angels National Kinship as a vehicle for caregivers to advocate for their families and communities.
Through GKU, Niadu hopes to grow as a leader, connect with other kinship caregivers, and deepen her understanding of how systems can work together to create lasting change.
