  1. Chula Vista Learning Community Charter School/ Seniors on Broadway
    Seniors on Broadway is a shared-site CVLCC intergenerational program designed to foster intergenerational, school-based experiences that promote growth and understanding between children and older adults. In partnership with the Chula Vista Elementary School District, MAAC Project and the City of Chula Vista, a 41-unit, low-income senior housing complex was built on the grounds of the Chula Vista Learning Community Charter School.

  2. Dance Generators (West)

  3. City of West Hollywood
    Dance Generators West is a part of the University of San Francisco's Department of Performing Arts and Social Justice. Company members range in age from their teens through their eighties. The Company believes that the combinations of physical and creative energies found in dance succeeds in motivating and inspiring activity and interaction between people of all ages who are at times, isolated from one another.

  4. Celebration Center
    This facility is part of Celebration Christian Schools. It will be comprised of a preschool, an after school program and a senior day care. It seeks to meet the needs of children and adults while encouraging people of different ages to interact.

  5. Hearts and Minds Activity Center
    Founded in 1984, Hearts & Minds Activity Center emerged as the first large capacity dementia-specific adult day program in the country. Since its inception, Hearts & Minds has provided services to over 6,000 individuals living with dementia and their families. As a licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Hearts & Minds Activity Center operates an additional program on site: a childcare center that collaborates with its counterpart for daily intergenerational activities.   6. The Yukon-Koyukuk Elder Assisted Living Consortium
    The much-needed facility allowed seniors, who previously had to travel 150 miles for assisted living services, to receive these services within their tribal community. Keeping elders in the community has also allowed the creation of intergenerational programs in which local youth help elders with housekeeping responsibilities and elders share their knowledge of tribal culture and traditions.

  7. Haines Borough Public Library
    Through the Dragonfly Project, library staff coach community youth to conduct computer classes for older adults. The library allows participants to build confidence in use of technology and to gain a sense of accomplishment in a safe environment. Young people build long-lasting relationships with adults in the program and their communities.

  8. University of South Alabama/VIA Health, Fitness and Enrichment Center
    The Center for Generational Studies (CGS) is a research center of the University of South Alabama (USA) that was founded in 2011 through a partnership with Via Health Fitness and Enrichment Center. The Via Center is a community-based, multi-purpose center primarily serving older adults with programming that facilitates the practice of preventative healthcare, physical fitness, continuous learning, socialization, and recreation. As a partner in the CGS, the Via Center implements intergenerational programming and serves as a “living laboratory” to research and create solutions for similar issues (health, technological innovation and social connections) among youth, older adults and families. These intergenerational programs serve more than 400 older adults and youth. The CGS has additional valuable partnerships with community-based agencies.

  9. Benevilla/Wirtzie’s Preschool & Child Care
    Imagine being a child sitting next to a “grandma” or “grandpa” and learning how to play bingo, make bread together, or create puppets and put on a show. The Wirtzie’s Intergenerational Program is optional, but if you choose to participate, this unique program offers your child daily planned, intentional activities where children and seniors come together to grow, learn about themselves and others and form relationships that can be life changing. Studies have shown that children participating in Intergenerational Programs demonstrate higher levels of social acceptance, willingness to help, empathy and ability to self-regulate.
