  2. St. Paul’s Senior Services
    Intergenerational care brings together children and seniors to benefit the lives of both. Twice a day, and at lunch, the children from the Childcare Program come together with the seniors in the Senior Day Program for creative activities like reading, arts and crafts, sing-alongs, dancing and learning opportunities.

  3. Norman P. Murray Community Center
    The Norman P. Murray Community and Senior Center has always enjoyed its reputation as a most active intergenerational center. Enhanced activity by all ages is evident here. The center is buzzing with activities for young and old including summer programs for grandchildren and grandparents.

  4. San Francisco Public Library-China Town
    Computer Help for Adults/Seniors-Teens help senior citizens and adults learn how to use the Internet, email, word processing, and gadgets such as cell phones and digital cameras. Occurs at China Town, Sunset, Ortega, Portola branches.

  6. New Alternatives, Inc.- San Pasqual Academy Neighbors (SPAN) Program
    San Pasqual Academy is a first-in-the-nation residential education campus designed specifically for foster teens. The Academy provides foster teens with a stable, caring home, a quality, individualized education, and the skills needed for independent living.   7. Chula Vista Learning Community Charter School/ Seniors on Broadway
    Seniors on Broadway is a shared-site CVLCC intergenerational program designed to foster intergenerational, school-based experiences that promote growth and understanding between children and older adults. In partnership with the Chula Vista Elementary School District, MAAC Project and the City of Chula Vista, a 41-unit, low-income senior housing complex was built on the grounds of the Chula Vista Learning Community Charter School.

    Dance Generators West is a part of the University of San Francisco's Department of Performing Arts and Social Justice. Company members range in age from their teens through their eighties. The Company believes that the combinations of physical and creative energies found in dance succeeds in motivating and inspiring activity and interaction between people of all ages who are at times, isolated from one another.

  10. OASIS Intergenerational Tutoring – Phoenix-Madison School District
    You can change a life by providing the individual attention that helps children build confidence and success. Opportunities are available in the Madison, Scottsdale and Washington school districts and 18 other U. S. cities. OASIS volunteer tutors are paired with children in grades K-3 who would benefit from a one-on-one mentoring relationship. Tutors are trained to work with kids using a proven approach to literacy that emphasizes reading, talking and writing. They meet with their students at least once a week throughout the school year, providing a caring, supportive environment where reading and language activities, keyed to the child’s interests, spark curiosity and learning.
