KAIROS alive! uses dance and storytelling to create a sense of community and well-being in participants of all ages and walks of life. It is the only intergenerational modern dance company in MN. Ages range from 7 to 98.

The Life Enrichment Department at The Cedars is partnering with the Friends School of Portland to offer an exciting new, intergenerational program for the residents at the Skilled Care Center at The Cedars.  On the first Wednesday of every month, 15 first and second grade students from Friends have been visiting with our nursing home residents to share the lessons they are learning in school.  Examples include reading one on one, singing, drama skits and puppet shows, and games. 

Generations Child Development Center is located on the site of Porter Hills Village, a continuing care retirement community. Residents volunteer with the children in the classrooms. Children also visit the residents and participate in activities together including coloring, music and story time. Keyword: Shared Site

The Prime Time Seniors' Program is a nationally accredited program which serves to enrich the lives of community members who are age 55+. Prime Time is committed to providing programs which engage the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual and vocational dimensions of wellness, as well as encourage involvement in the community. There are several intergenerational programs including intergenerational art classes.

Linking Intergenerational Neighbors Who Care (LINC) engages youth of the Chadsey/Condon neighborhood to “link” elders in their neighborhood to services and resources that meet the elders‘ needs. The mission of the LINC Project is to provide a safe environment where people can age in dignity, while local young people are exposed to possible job fields, career opportunities, and the transferable skills needed to build a positive future for themselves and their communities.  Most importantly, LINC creates a sustainable community that thrives off of the energy and wisdom of all its members. 

Emerson School is proud to present InterGen Tech: a Pilot class where 5th-8th graders share technology skills with local elders in a collaborative environment. In this new innovative class, students will partner with local elders to help teach and practice digital skills in Emerson’s computer lab, while elders will share their experiences and wisdom with today’s youth. For students, it's a service-learning class for responsible, caring, and dedicated students who have an interest in sharing digital skills with local senior citizens.
