Technical Assistance & Training Resources Available Through Generations United

Generations United offers training and technical assistance on specialized topics related to grandfamilies.  We may also be able to refer you to an appropriate consultant.  There may be costs associated with the provision of technical assistance or training.

Free Technical Assistance on Implementation of the Fostering Connections and Increasing Adoptions Act of 2008:
Through December 2010, Generations United is offering free technical assistance through the Grandfamilies State Law and Policy Resource Center on speficic issues related to the implementation of the kinship/grandfamilies provisions of the Fostering Connections and Increasing Adoptions Act of 2008.  The Grandfamilies State Law and Policy Resource Center is a partnership of the American Bar Association Center on Children and the Law, Casey Family Programs and Generations United, which engages lawyers, policy experts and researchers to provide information and assistance related to state legislation affecting grandfamilies.  Free online resources about the Fostering Connections Act and a searchable online database of relevant state legislation is available at
www.grandfamilies.org.
