Ana Beltran Ana Beltran is an attorney and the former Director of Generations United's (GU) National Center on Grandparent and Other Relatives Raising Grandchildren. She has authored several GU publications on the subject and she has written articles in various publications and academic journals The Gerontologist, The Journal of Aging and Social Policy, and The Journal of Gerontological Social Work. Ana has spoken extensively about relatives raising children at national, state, and local conferences. Among her presentations, she provided and overview of laws that support relative caregivers during the live broadcast of the National "Grandparents Raising Grandchildren: Legal and Policy Issues" Videoconference sponsored by University of Wisconsin and Purdue University Extension Services. As someone who was raised in part by her grandmother, Ana has a personal commitment to the families. |
