Tibetans have been living in exile in India for decades. Even though they have been very welcome in India, being refugees, they harbor a deep sense of uncertainty about their future. The way this grandfather is clutching his grandchild reflects this feeling…come what may, he must protect the child.

She took the picture at the Sandasonke Senior Primary School where all the students create a community garden with older members of their community that teach the students about their experiences with gardening.
